How To Skandi Interior Design!
Step by Step Skandi Interior Design!
Skandi Interior Design is my favourite style and is what my house will look like eventually. This is something new for me, but I wanted to share my passion for interior design. So, this is my steps on how to create a skandi feel to your home.
Step One :
The first step of skandi interior design is to go very minimal. Skandi designs are all very simple and uncluttered.
Step Two :
The main colour scheme in skandi interior design is black and white. These colours are just very simple and clean and they go well with the minimal style of skandi interior design.
Step Three :
In addition to the black and white, the colour grey is also very important in skandi interior design. Grey is still in the monochrome spectrum, but its a bit softer than the blacks that are used in the designs.
Step Four :
To add colour to the rooms pastel colours should be added. In skandi interior design bright colours aren't used very often, as its more about looking subtle and simple.
Step Five :
Wood is used a lot in skandi interior design as it's natural and works well with the colour scheme. It is also a really good sustainable material.
Step Six :
A skandi interior is not complete unless you have added a cosy blanket. It just completes a skandi style bed or sofa and you have the bonus of having a warm blanket to wrap up in.
Step Seven :
The patterns that are really stand out skandi interior design is stripes and geometric shapes. There is a lot of iconic rugs and blinds that have these types of patterns on, most notably from IKEA.
Step Eight :
Adding plants and greenery to rooms is very distinctive to skandi interior design. It also is good to bring the outside in and it has a lot of health benefits to have plants in your home.
Step Nine :
Skandi design is all about showing off your passions and your clothes. Hanging your clothes on a clothes rail is very a easy way to create a skandi vibe in your interior.
Step Nine :
This is the last step to create the perfect skandi inspired home and this is to accessorise with copper. Copper and rose gold are very popular at the moment and go so well in skandi interiors.
