Purple Nail Polish Review
I thought that I would take a break from reviewing make up and do a few post reviewing my favourite nail polishes. This time I am going to be reviewing a few of my purple nail polishes. I get all my nail polishes from Boots or Superdrug.
The first nail polish is from Rimmel London, in the Rita Ora range. It’s in the colour 558 go wild-er-ness.
Colour - 9/10 - The colour of this nail polish is beautiful, it’s a beautiful and is my go to lilac nail polish.
Chip? - 7/10 - This nail polish doesn't chip very easy.
Application - 8/10 - I find that the brush is a very good shape and it makes the nail varnish go on smoothly and not too thickly.
Durability - 7/10 - It tends to last 3 or 4 days before starting to chip away or dent.
Price - 8/10 - The price of this product is £2.99, which I think is very cheap for a good quality nail polish.
Overall - 8/10 - I absolutely love this nail polish and it is a regular on my nails.
The second nail polish is from Rimmel London, in the colour 560 lovey dovey.
Colour - 8/10 - This nail polish is the perfect mid purple colour and would look perfect on all skin tones.
Chip? - 7/10 - Like most of the Rimmel nail varnishes it doesn't chip very easily.
Application - 9/10 - The brush allows the nail polish to go on really smoothly and it drys completely in in 60 seconds as advertised.
Durability - 7/10 - It tends to last 3 to 4 days without chipping.
Price - 8/10 - The price of this product is £2.99, which I think it a very good price for a good nail varnish and there is always an offer on Rimmel products.
Overall - 8/10 - This is one of the best mid purple nail polishes out there.
The third nail varnish is from Maybelline New York Color Show, in the colour 554 lavender lies.
Colour - 7/10 - This nail polish is a very very similar to Rimmel one above, but I do find that when not shaken first the colour separates slightly.
Chip? - 8/10 - Maybelline nail polishes are very good quality and tend not the chip very easily.
Application - 8/10 - The brush is slightly harder to use than the Rimmel ones but it is still very easy to apply a smooth even coat.
Durability - 7/10 - As Maybelline nail polish is very good quality and tends to last 3 to 4 days without chipping.
Price - 8/10 - The price of this product is £2.99, which I think it a good price for the product and Maybelline always have a 3 for the price of 2 offer.
Overall - 7/10 - This nail polish is a very good nail polish, but it does need to be shaken before use to get the best colour results.
The last nail polish I am going to be reviewing is from 17, in the colour Royal Indigo. The 17 range is only available in Boots.
Colour - 6/10 - This nail polish is a good dark purple, but does need a few coats to achieve the best colour results.
Chip? - 6/10 - As it is a cheaper nail polish it can chip kinda easily.
Application - 6/10 - The brush doesn’t create an even coat with just one coat, but with two or three coats it creates a smooth even look..
Durability - 5/10 - It tends to last 2 to 3 days without chipping, and as you have to put more coats on it makes it easier for it too peel off.
Price - 4/10 - The price of this product is £2.99, which I think is too expensive.
Overall - 6/10 - This product is a very nice colour but does need a few coats too look nice.
Thankyou for reading, I am going to be doing this for pink, burgundy, red, green, nude, light and dark blue nail polish. If there is an other colour you want me to review just comment.
Lots of love
Beth
